To those we love and see each day
and other loved ones far away
To all good friends who mean so much,
and those with whom we are out of touch...
Merry Christmas and happy New Year!
"The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step."-- According to that Chinese proverb we decided to make an attempt and open an English Blog of 7th Liceum Ogólnokształcące in Toruń. The site is going to serve as an interactive notice board to keep all students and teachers of VIILO posted on all English events taking place in our school.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Terra Australis Incognita
Terra Australis Incognita
15th December 2009
“G’day Sheila!”, “G’day Mate!” – and a magic trip down under to the world created at Dreamtime began.
A meeting with Professor Waldemar Skrzypczak was a unique opportunity to discover many facts about “dinky-di Aussi”, learn Australian English, sing Waltzing Matilda, watch the panoramas of the Outback and travel (without a swag!) to the land of boomerang, didgeridoo, kookaburra and koala, of course.

This year the European Commission's Directorate-General for Translation (DGT) has organised a third edition of a translation contest for schools in 27 member states of the European Union.
The participants could choose to translate from any official language of the European Union into any other official language of the EU. The pupils selected must have been born in 1992 and be citizens of the European Union.
The pupils who produced the winning translations will be invited to the AWARDS CEREMONY in Brussels in 2010, and will meet the Commissioner for Multilingualism.
We keep our fingers crossed for our students!

The Grand Opening!
"The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step."--Chinese proverb
According to the Chinese proverb placed above we decided to make an attempt and open an English Blog of VII Liceum Ogólnokształcące in Toruń. The site is going to serve as an interactive notice board to keep all students and teachers of VIILO posted on all English events taking place in our school. All posts are going to be in English so that everyone will have a chance to practice his/her skills. We hope you will take to the idea.
