43rd National English Language Competition

43rd National English
Language Competition
took place in our school
on Tuesday.

26 students participated in the Competition.

The contestants sat the grammar and lexical test that covered gap completion, multiple choice and translation tasks. The test obviously much exceeded the extended level stipulated in the Secondary School curriculum.

Piotr Wojciechowski (3B) achieved the highest score and was the best in our school.

The honorary mention should also be given to Agata Adler and Mateusz Różański, who also may be proud of their scores.

Congratulations!

The organizers of the Competition decided that 30 points (i.e. 50% of the test total score) qualified students to the Regional Stage of the Completion. Unfortunately, no-one in our school qualified to to the next stage.

Studying in Great Britain at Aberystwyth University

Studying in Great Britain at Aberystwyth University

On 9th March our students had the pleasure of participating in a meeting regarding studying in the United Kingdom.

In the contemporary, dynamic and developing society of “global village” studying abroad is an attractive and appealing alternative to studying in Poland.

Our students were familiarised with the language requirements and application procedures.

Our experts also presented the approximate costs of studying abroad in comparison to studying in Poland.

The students could ask questions and those who were particularly interested in studying abroad had the opportunity to discuss the issue with the experts.
