One of the students of our school, Marianna Korman (2A), was awarded a special prize in the 3rd Foreign Love Song Competition organized by Liceum Ogólnokształcące No 9 in Toruń on 10th February 2012.
CONGRATULATIONS!
The competition was fierce and more than 80 contestants enrolled. Only twenty of the singers were selected to take part in the final round on Friday. Marianna was one of the three contestants from our school who took part in the preliminary auditions and she was the only one who was admitted to the finals.
The participants presented various songs and the quality and standard of their voices, performance and preparation were at the highest level. Marianna sang one of the well-known songs titled “Stop” by Sam Brown.
The jury had a difficult nut to crack.
The first prize was awarded to Paulina Jeżewska
The competition attracted large audience. We can see Marianna Korman and Paulina Swiatecka at the far end of the room listening to some love songs.
