Studying in the United Kingdom

On 28th October 2014 we had the pleasure to hold a meeting regarding the opportunities of studying in the United Kingdom
The event was aimed at the 3rd form students, especially those who were interested in studying abroad. The meeting came as a response to numerous questions asked to the English teachers concerning the conditions of studying in England and Wales.

During the meeting our students were familiarized with the application procedures, scholarships opportunities and generally with the conditions of studying in England. Our students received leaflets with useful information such as Internet addresses, where they can find various documents, tips and hints what to do if they wished to study abroad. Our school library also received informative brochures and other useful materials on the subject.

More adventures with English language

Last Monday on 2 June we had the pleasure to host
3 native speakers
Glenn from New Zeleand
Emma from Wales
Luke from England
in our school. They conducted lessons devoted to speaking with classes 1b, 1d, 2a and 2d.
The students had a chance to ask our guests a lot of questions concerning the lives of the native speakers in their native countries and here in Poland.
Also, our students had the possibility of sharing some information concerning the life in Poland with our guests.

We would like to express our gratitude for such an opportunity to the International House in Toruń and for the cooperation with our school in the field of promoting English language among our students.

Thank you and of course we hope for more!

Global Citizen - a farewell meeting

All good comes to an end and so does our foreign visitors visit. For the whole week they have been conducting classes with our students, socializing with them during breaks and after classes. Both the trainees and the students enjoyed their time spent together.
Our guests organized a farewell session for our students. The students had the chance to compete against each other in quizzes on knowledge of the countries of origin of the trainees i.e. Pakistan and Ukraine.

The students competed in teams of five. They answered questions and prepared a poster associated with Ukraine and Pakistan. Our pupils had to show off with their speaking and listening skills because the whole meeting was conducted in English language.

At the end of the meeting we took a group photo and our quests received certificates of participation from the hands of our schoolmistress Genowefa Malicka.

That week for sure is going to be memorable both for the students, the teachers and the trainees. We are extremely proud that our guests visited our school and we had the opportunity to learn more about their countries and culture.

We wish them all the best and we hope to stay in touch.
