„Pokaż nam Język” Competition

On 26th March semifinals of the „Pokaż nam Język” (Daze us with your Language) competition took place in the School of Banking in Toruń. 10 students in English language and 5 students in German language reached the semifinals.

   More than400 participants from schools in Toruń, Bydgoszcz, Inowrocław, Lipno etc. took part in the competition.

The participants had proved to be experts in languages and only 5 students, who had scored the best results, were accepted to the finals. The test was difficult and comprised not only grammar and vocabulary but also history, geography and culture of the countries.

Unfortunately, none of our students become qualified for the final round. However,  we got satisfactory results, considering that some of the students are just first year freshmen.

All in all, the atmosphere was full of competitive spirit with a hint of adventure. The students were in good mood regardless of the final results. We hope that next year more students will participate in the competition and we are sure we are going to be the winners!

 

History of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Competition

On 22nd March 2013 our students took part in the finals of the History of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Competition organized by Zespół Zespole Szkół Ekonomicznych in Toruń. The students, who were accepted to the final stage of the competition, prepared a live role-play, a multimedia presentation concerning APA Organization - The Association of Polish Artists in Great Britain and two short video interviews with Polish artists performed by the students.

Our school was granted the third place in the competition.
