Global Citizen – the adventure continues…
Time flies, and this is another busy day for our foreign guests in our school. They have been conducting classes giving presentations about their countries, culture and everyday life. The classes are extremely popular among our students, who are curious of the world and actively participate in the classes asking various questions both serious and trivial.
Time flies, and this is another busy day for our foreign guests in our school. They have been conducting classes giving presentations about their countries, culture and everyday life. The classes are extremely popular among our students, who are curious of the world and actively participate in the classes asking various questions both serious and trivial.
Our guests are patient and cordially respond to the students’ questions telling stories about life in their countries. It is an excellent opportunity to get to know each other, share views of the world and overcome stereotypes. The classes have been scheduled in such a way that the biggest number of students may participate. The trainees will have conducted 40 sessions altogether by the end of the week.
Our students have the opportunity to put their language skills to the test, particularly their speaking and listening skills. Actually, to their surprise, they are able to communicate freely and, what is crucial, they are able to understand and follow the presentations prepared by the trainees. Obviously, that will work as a motivating factor for our students to intensify their efforts in learning English language.
The lessons have been particularly beneficial for the 3rd form students who are anxiously awaiting their oral exam in 3 months time.
